Welcome to Ms. Cervoni’s Class!

In our classroom, learning is a shared journey. We focus on recognizing our strengths, building confidence, and growing both in school and beyond. We are creative thinkers, flexible problem solvers, and curious explorers. Challenges are opportunities, and we approach each obstacle with fresh perspectives and a willingness to try. Every day is a new chance to learn, grow, and support one another.

As a new teacher, I’m passionate about project-based learning, hands-on classroom experiments, and integrating sensory-rich experiences and presentations into my lessons. I place a strong emphasis on working with students one-on-one and in small groups, as this allows me to better understand their individual strengths and areas for growth. I believe this personalized approach creates a dynamic classroom environment where learners feel encouraged to share experiences, explore their curiosities, and ask meaningful questions. Through collaboration, students can build on each other’s knowledge and gain a deeper awareness of their own unique skills.

Social Emotional Skill Building

The Mini Art Show is a celebration of emotional expression and collaboration. Over six months, my students explored what emotions look and feel like—both individually and in partnership. Through paired work, they discovered the dynamics of working together: how sometimes we naturally “mesh,” and other times we may “clash.” Together, we learned how to harness the harmony and thoughtfully navigate the friction. Throughout the project, students practiced planning, organizing, and revising their ideas, both creatively and interpersonally. Each final piece of art reflects the voices of both partners and the two emotions they chose to explore together. More than just an art project, this experience fostered essential social-emotional, teamwork, and group collaboration skills—laying a foundation for empathy, communication, and mutual respect.

All subjects. Worksheets and workbooks for grades 1-4. Used in special education and general education settings.

Tutoring services for students ages 6-10 years old. Orton Gillingham trained to teach phonics, reading, reading comprehension, and writing. Direct and explicit instruction for students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, adhd and/or autism. Hands on instruction and multi-sensory learning in private one-hour one-on-one sessions.

Every Friday morning, my third grade class grabs their passports and sets off on a brand new adventure around the world. We explore towering mountains, taste-test imaginary dumplings, and dive into the rich histories and cultures that make each place unique. Along the way, we discover how beautifully different—and wonderfully similar—we all are. And when I ask why they’re traveling, the answer is almost always the same: “to be with my friends.” So come on—let’s take a trip!

In this classroom, we’re WILD about dinosaurs! We spent an entire week bringing our own dinosaur creations to life through writing, editing, and illustrating. From spiky tails to silly names, every detail mattered as we took our time and let our imaginations roar. Learning has never been this fun (or this ferocious)!
